Traveling to and from the shore can be quite a daunting task. Especially during those peak seasonal times when renters move on and off shore from their rental properties. This piece depicts a line a slow moving traffic trying get to their final destination whether on of off cape or the coastal shores on either coast. I did this for a class that I am teaching to show how interesting sunsets or sunrises can be of subjects other thank the traditional "sunrise over the ocean" themes that are commonplace. I also did it to show two how we can combine two distinctly different style of watercolor --- wet-into-wet as shown in the handling of the sky, and dry-into-wet as used in the handling of the foreground and the vehicles.
