Watching the waves break on the shore, you can't help but feel the energy and power of the surf as it crests and rolls in on the receding water. In this transparent watercolor painting I tried to capture the power of the breaking surf using a wet-on-wet and dry-on-wet technique. This style helps to keep the foam and white water soft yet still allows us to experience this powerful force of nature.
