Artist's Description

I spend a little time in Provincetown this summer and the view from where we stayed was beautiful. We overlooks the marsh and beach. As I walked along the shore it's amazing how much debris is scattered along the shoreline. My guess is that the debris in this painting was from a recent storm that washed away some of the steps that along the that made it easy to access the homes and buildings along the coast. A little History: Provincetown is at the northern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The seaside town is on the site of the Mayflower’s landing in 1620, commemorated by the towering Pilgrim Monument and neighboring Provincetown Museum. P-town is known as a longtime haven for artists, among other things. Numerous galleries plus restaurants, nightclubs, cabarets and specialty shops are clustered on and around lively Commercial Street.

He is the recipient of many juried art show awards including First Place in drawing, pastel and watercolor categories. What's...
