Alosa was sitting on blocks in a repair yard along the New England Seacoast when I came across her. The yard or her owner was getting her ready for a new season however, their didn't seem to be anyone working on her at the time. I thought she'd make for a good painting and as it turned out, her owner spotted the original in one of the galleries that my work had be in and purchased the piece.
