I developed this piece with the idea that I wanted to achieve a cool winter look in the countryside with the least amount of effort. That is to say, I wanted the medium, a transparent watercolor to come through. It's a scene you'll find anywhere in the New England countryside. Lots of soft snow in the foreground sets the mood.
