The scene is set in a typical New England forest. A Winter wonderland. The cold early morning mist rises in the background as we look at the cool, almost frozen water as it cascades over the falls. This piece is all about emotion and mood. It's suggestive of quarried rocks, broken trees and a cool mist that hides the forested background as light tries to penetrate the dense growth beyond the falling water.
In order to achieve this finished piece, you need to allow the application of watercolor to work its magic. It you "Let Go" you can achieve some of the most unbelievable positive works of art with very little effort. This piece was a result of letting go and allowing the wet into wet process to it's own course.
