The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This is one of those paintings that is aptly named. This 26 foot old timer was "Pasturized" It looked like nobody wanted the vessel and it was cast aside along with the old broken down dock amongst the marshy grass at a small marina up river on the Weweantic in Southeastern Massachusetts.
