This is a plein-aire piece done on Memorial Day as I sat in my yard looking toward the street and the home that was peeking through the newly formed foliage. Painting outdoors gives us all the opportunity to develop pieces that are characterized by the representation of the luminous effects of natural light and atmosphere which can not be achieved under studio lighting conditions.
