Artist's Description
A view of a distant farm buildings across a field of soon to be planted crops was done as a demo for one of the local community groups that are interested in the step by step development of painting. I chose this subject in order to show how you can force the eye back to a small building or two through the use of dominant color. The small red barns takes up now more than a quarter of an inch of space on what would largely be considered a dominant field of warn green. Yet, the small, bright red of the barns in the background on either side of the bright blue building is actually controlling where your eye focuses.
