Working from the model is a great experience for all who draw and paint. Here is another sketch I did from Cindy at one of our open studio sessions. Drawing is more about believability, convincing shapes, proportional accuracy than it is about likeness. Although I always strive for likeness, it doesn't always happen. It's much more important for me to make sure the drawing is a good representation of the subject. Although we were working from the nude, I chose to capture her troubled expression.
